Carey's Garden Centre is located on Highway 118 on the northern part of town beside the Sears Store. This is a family operated business that has been serving the Haliburton Highlands for the past seven years. Last year we moved to our new spacious location where we have easy access and plenty of free parking. We have built our business on growing and providing top quality plants at a reasonable price and have friendly and knowledgeable staff to assist you in all of your landscape plans and ideas. The Garden Centre stocks a large and colorful selection of annuals and perennials, hanging baskets, containers, trees, shrubs, soils, mulches, large landscape rocks for gardens and retaining walls, gravels, flagstone and natural steps and a complete line of natural and organic based lawn care fertilizers and other products. We do not stock any pesticides or herbicides and are fully committed to preserving and protecting the health of our children, wildlife and the environment. Our products are safe to use around lakes, ponds, streams, children and pets. Our season begins at the end of March when we receive our first shipment of plants and we are open seven days a week right up until the end of November. Our hours of daily operation are normally 9:00AM to 5:00PM. We currently have three greenhouses that we grow in and this year we are adding a 40ft by 40ft shaded area to protect our trees and shrubs from the hot summer heat and driving rains. This area will also have several landscape designs to assist you in planning your own landscape. We also grow a large selection of hanging baskets and containers to choose from or you can drop off your containers and we will plant them for you for the cost of the materials. We offer a variety of landscape services which include, creating and planting gardens, constructing wood or stone retaining walls, tree and shrub planting, sodding , and a complete natural and organic based lawn maintenance programme. We also offer landscape design starting with a simple sketch or a full detailed drawing. No matter how large or small your landscape plans are we would be happy to provide you with a free estimate.
